The Ultrium 920 delivers a compressed storage capacity of 800 GB per data cartridge and a compressed data transfer rate of 432 GB per hour, two and a half times faster than the previous generation Ultrium 448 tape drive. Multiple drive models are available for the compact, half-height Ultrium 920 Tape Drive including internal, external, and 1U rack-mount model. The Ultrium 920 Tape Drive is fully read and write compatible with all second-generation Ultrium media and offers further investment protection through its backward-read compatibility with first-generation Ultrium media.
The Ultrium 920 Tape Drive stores up to 800GB of data on a single data cartridge using 2:1 compression. High capacity drive reduces the costs associated with data protection by requiring fewer data cartridges to complete backups. One-Button Disaster Recovery (OBDR) supported. Firmware-based disaster recovery is a feature that can restore an entire system using a single Ultrium 920 tape drive and data cartridge.
